The submission process is fairly simple. Click here to obtain an electronic copy of the Request for Architectural Control Committee Approval Form. You may also obtain a copy from any committee member or from World of Homes.

Once completed, please sign and return the form directly to any of the ACC members, along with any required attachments, such as drawings or color samples.  The ACC welcomes the opportunity to meet you and to discuss your plans.  You may also email the application (as long as you do not need to submit color samples).

The ACC will schedule a meeting to review your application within a few days. Notice of this meeting will be posted at the gate, on the website and distributed by email to residents. If for some reason you do not hear from them within a week, please contact Cari Rubin to be certain they received your submission. At the meeting your submission will be discussed and either approved or denied.

An applicant homeowner whose application is denied, in whole or in part, by the ACC may appeal such decision of the ACC in a written appeal delivered to the President of the Board of Directors within ten (10) business days after delivery of the ACC's decision to the applicant. If the applicant appellant fails to appeal within said ten (10) business day period, the decision of the ACC shall be final.

A non-applicant homeowner may appeal a decision of the ACC under the following circumstances:

  1. The non-applicant homeowner is in good standing with current LAV HOA voting rights.
  2. The non-applicant homeowner attended the ACC meeting when the decision to be appealed was rendered.

Such non-applicant homeowner may appeal a decision of the ACC in a written appeal delivered to the President of the Board of Directors and the applicant homeowner within three (3) business days after the ACC meeting. If the non-applicant homeowner fails to appeal within said three (3) business day period, the decision of the ACC shall be final.

In the event of an appeal, the Board shall take action on such appeal and either approve or disapprove, in writing, the decision of the ACC within thirty (30) days after receipt of the appeal.  The Board shall deliver a copy of its decision, in writing, to the applicant, any non-applicant homeowner who has appealed, and the ACC.

If the Board fails to take action on an appeal within thirty (30) days after such appeal is properly submitted, then the decision of the ACC shall be deemed approved by the Board and no further action will be taken.  The decision of the Board shall be final.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the ACC by email, or telephone them at the numbers listed above..
